Description :	Bateau de plaisance type « Chassiron Tour du monde 12 ». Construction en bois, structure axiale en chêne, bordés classiques à franc-bord en acajou sur membrures ployées en acacia rivetée sur cuivre, varangues en bois sciées en chêne. Gréement en ketch bermudien.

Historique :	Sylphide serait un des rares rescapés des « Chassiron Tour du monde » 12 mètres (TM12), construits à l'unité dans les Chantiers Edouard Richard de Marennes à partir de 1962-1963. Il a été dessiné par Maria Humblot (1889-1988) qui fut la première femme architecte navale. Elle a fait ses études à l'école des Travaux publics de Paris avant de se spécialiser dans l'architecture navale en travaillant pour la revue « le Yacht ». Le commanditaire de Sylphide est Dante Guidotti (fondateur de la célèbre entreprise spécialisée dans la fabrication de systèmes de sécurité depuis 1957). Les chantiers Richard ont d’abord construit des bateaux de travail avant d’élargir leur production à la plaisance vers 1960, date du lancement du premier Chassiron croisière familiale de 8,50m. La collaboration Maria Humblot et Edouard Richard durera jusque vers 1968-69.
