Description :	Structure axiale en chêne, bordés à franc bord jointif en teck, membrures en chêne sciées et ployées en alternance. Varangues chêne scié et acier forgé. Pont en teck. Alcor II est un yawl, archétype de la course croisière en méditerranée dans les années 1960. Très rapide, il est très toilé (222 m²), gréé en yawl bermudien (c'est-à-dire à deux mâts, dont un tape-cul à l'extrême arrière, portant des voiles triangulaires). Il est très lesté (17 tonnes de plomb) avec un très grand tirant d’eau, le plus grand tirant d’eau de tous les Laurent-Giles, Il présente une innovation technologique, un safran déporté. Le guindeau et enrouleur électrique de yankee sont d’origine comme le « moulin à café » sur la plage arrière pour les écoutes de yankee. Le moteur Rolls Royce est également d’origine.
