Historique :	Cet objet témoigne de la déportation des prêtres non assermentés détenus sur les pontons de la Rochefort, à l'Ile Madame et à la citadelle de Saint-Martin-de-Ré. Il est à rapprocher d'autres objets ou ensembles d'objets bénéficiant d'arrêtés d'inscription séparés ; soit, d'une part, 35 objets ou groupes d'objets et la vitrine dans laquelle ils sont présentés, conservés à la cathédrale de La Rochelle et d'autre part, une paire d'étoles de soie brodée dans un cadre conservée à la maison diocésaine de Saintes (PM17002698) et un crucifix (PM1700299) conservé à l'évêché de La Rochelle.
