Historique :	D'après une tradition locale contestable, le navire transportant ce groupe, offert par le pape Léon X à François Ier à l'occasion du concordat de 1516, aurait échoué sur les côtés de l'île ; le roi aurait fait don de la sculpture à la paroisse
