Historique :	Cette maquette présente les caractéristiques d'un vaisseau de 4e rang antérieur à 1740 mais l'absence des armes royales sur le château arrière indique qu'il s'agit d'un bâtiment de commerce armé ; il s'agit peut-être d'un vaisseau de la Compagnie des Indes orientales ; le gréement date du 19e siècle ; la guibre avec sa figure de proue semble également avoir été faite au 19e siècle ; d'après une tradition locale non vérifiée, cet ex-voto proviendrait de l'église Saint-Nicolas de La Rochelle désaffectée en 1887
